LiRa Dance Theatre is the joining of choreographic voices Lisa Conlin and Raena Rasmussen. With Conlin's witty and thought provoking theatrics and stylized dance and Rasmussen's cutting edge and physically challenging contemporary choreography, the two test the waters for Sioux Falls First Professional Dance Theatre Company. Get ready to groove with teacher and choreographer Lisa Conlin at DAPA Musical Theatre Dance Camp! Students will explore all the avenues of storytelling dance theater with acting, singing, and dance. Students will be in a safe place to step out of their comfort zone with dance techniques, theater skills, improvisation and more. Our final day will culminate in a showcase for families and guests.

The Goodnight Theatre Collective Reefer Madness… This musical sendup of the cult classic propaganda film follows Jimmy Harper and Mary Lane as they descend into the comical depths of the terrifying reefer, told through the lens of a 1930s PSA littered with all manner of melodramatic results. Jam-packed with catchy musical numbers and hilarious hijinks—it’s Reefer Madness!

Dancers will work on musical theatre dance techniques, dance/theatre games, singing, character work, improvisation, and auditioning skills. Dancers will collaborate on a mini dance theatre piece for the informal showcase on June 24, from 12-1pm.

This unique creative FREE Dance Theatre workshop will explore avenues of dance and theatre in a safe place for dancers to feel free to step out of their comfort zone with new dance techniques in both Contemporary and Jazz Dance, improve, journaling, and more. 2 days of class: Sat Feb 5 from 12-1:30pm Advanced/Professional Level and 2:00-3:30pm Intermediate Ages 9-13 years old. Sun Feb 6 from 9-10am Intermediate Ages 9-13 years old and 10-11:30am Advanced/Professional. Informal Showcase Sun Feb 6 11:30am-12noon. Option to participate in one or both days.
